Caveat Online
The Journal accepts short pieces (2,500 to 5,000 words) submitted for publication in Caveat. Caveat publishes short articles, blog posts, and op-ed style pieces by academics, judges, practitioners, and law students focusing on timely legal reform. Caveat also publishes responses to pieces in both the online and print issues of the Journal.
Caveat submissions are accepted on a rolling basis year-round and will be published on an expedited production schedule.
Submission Requirements
Each submission should be double-spaced and conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st ed. 2020) and The Chicago Manual of Style (17th ed. 2017). Please enclose a résumé, a list of previous publications, and/or a vita with the submission, which can be helpful for the Journal’s reviewers.
Please send pieces for consideration, as well as any questions, to the Managing Editor.
